MMA-MWA LEADERSHIP ACADEMY Dominican Republic
Overview
The MMA-MWA Leadership Academy is a two-year training program designed for young people ages 14 to 19, with the purpose of fostering holistic development rooted in obedience to the biblical Great Commission. Our mission is to prepare a new generation of leaders who not only know the Word of God, but also live it and share it—promoting a discipleship that goes beyond religious conversion and translates into transformative action.
Students receive solid biblical teaching, leadership training, and practical instruction in life and work skills. This equips them to grow spiritually while gaining the tools needed to engage society with responsibility and excellence. In addition, the academy offers a wide range of local and international activities where young people not only learn, but also enjoy themselves, build friendships, and experience the importance of serving in diverse cultural and social contexts.
Founded in 2020 following a missionary calling in the Dominican Republic, the academy has impacted communities in San Pedro de Macorís and beyond, providing a space where young people can study and learn to serve with commitment.
At its core, the MMA-MWA Leadership Academy combines faith, leadership, practical preparation, and real-world experiences to form disciples who not only transform Dominican and Peruvian society but also become agents of change throughout the world.
Training Programs
Training Programs – FEMALE STUDENTS
At the Junior level, female students receive a well-rounded formation that integrates spiritual, academic, and technical development. During this stage, they take Bible/Leadership, English, Computer Science, and Secretarial Skills. These courses strengthen their character, expand their communication abilities, and equip them with essential practical skills for their academic and professional future. At the Senior level, young women advance into a more specialized and creative curriculum. Their courses include Bible, English, Jewelry Making, Resin Crafting, Etiquette and Protocol, Artisanal Soap Making, Commercial Soap Production, and Entrepreneurship. This combination allows them to deepen their spiritual formation, develop artistic and technical abilities, and gain entrepreneurial competencies that prepare them to launch their own projects and serve their communities with excellence.
Training Programs – MALE STUDENTS
At the Junior level, male students receive a formation that integrates spiritual principles with high-value technical skills. Their courses include Bible, English, Welding, and Electricity, providing a solid foundation in Christian leadership while developing practical abilities that can become opportunities for service and future employment. At the Senior level, young men continue their development through a blend of spiritual, technical, and entrepreneurial training. Their courses include Bible, English, Jewelry Making, Commercial Soap Production, Etiquette and Protocol, and Entrepreneurship. This stage strengthens their character, expands their creative skills, and equips them to develop productive projects while growing as leaders of integrity in their homes, churches, and communities.

En la Academia MMA fortalecí mis habilidades en inglés y hoy trabajo enseñando el idioma en un colegio de prestigio. Todos Los devocionales de cada sábado, así como cada clase formaron mi corazón, mientras Dios también formaba mi carácter para asumir el rol de liderazgo juvenil que desempeño
actualmente.
Antes era una chica insegura, tímida, en la academia Dios transformó
mi vida tanto espiritual como profesional, hoy soy más segura de mi
misma, una emprendedora, tengo mi propio salón y también elaboro
productos capilares y de limpieza.
NEW PROGRAMS
University & Technical Scholarship Program
The Scholarship Program represents one of the academy’s strongest commitments to the future of itsstudents. At the conclusion of each Leadership Program cohort, two full merit based scholarships areawarded: one to the top female student and one to the top male student. These awards recognize academic excellence, exemplary character, and the dedication demonstrated throughout their formation.
Beyond these internal awards, the academy actively secures additional university and vocationalscholarships through partnerships with public and private institutions, as well as through generous donors and sponsors who believe in investing in emerging Christian leaders. The academy’s commitment is to walk alongside every student as they pursue higher education, ensuring they have the support, guidance, and opportunities needed to reach their full potential and become everything God has called them to be.
Graduate Mentoring & Coaching Initiative
The Graduate Mentoring & Coaching Initiative strengthens the academy’s relationship with its alumni and ensures that the impact of their formation continues long after graduation. This program provides spiritual, emotional, and professional guidance to young adults as they take their first steps as leaders, professionals, and servants of God.
Through personalized mentoring, workshops, study groups, and service opportunities, graduates receive the support they need to grow in character, make wise decisions, develop personal and professional projects, and remain firm in their faith. The initiative fosters a strong alumni network that encourages collaboration, accountability, and lifelong learning.
Kids in Action (Children’s Ministry Program)
Kids in Action is one of the most meaningful service opportunities offered by the academy. Through this program, students develop leadership, teaching, creativity, and Christian service skills while
impacting children in their own communities. Kids in Action provides a dynamic and engaging environment that includes games, educational activities, competitions, worship, dramas, gospel teaching, discipleship, and community service.
The purpose of this program is twofold: to instill Christian values in children and to cultivate in our students a heart of service and a missionary vision from an early age. Kids in Action creates safe, joyful, and spiritually enriching spaces where children can grow, learn, and encounter the love of
God.
Young Adults Leadership Track (College Students Program)
The Young Adults Leadership Track supports students who are pursuing university or technical studies, helping them remain firm in their faith and grow as leaders in their academic and professional environments. This program offers deep discipleship, advanced leadership training,
academic and vocational guidance, professional skill development, and opportunities for service and missions.
Workshops on adult life, financial stewardship, purpose, and calling equip young adults to navigate this crucial stage with wisdom and confidence. The goal is to form a generation of mature Christian young adults who are prepared to influence society with excellence, integrity, and a passion for God.
